File Manager
What is a File Manager? How much does it differ from its desktop equivalent?
A File Manager tool is found in all hosting Control Panels. As the name suggests, it's employed to control the files inside an account and all File Managers support a variety of primary features - browsing, moving, copying and deleting files. A number of Control Panels may offer you more advanced features as well - changing file and folder permissions or creating and unpacking archives. Though files could be uploaded and downloaded via an FTP client, the File Manager is employed considerably more often, so the easier to use it is, the easier it shall be for you to handle your presence online in general. The opposite is also true - a File Manager that is tough to use can make it more annoying and difficult for you to manage the website content, particularly if you lack previous experience.

File Manager in Shared Hosting
The File Manager tool, that's a part of our in-house developed Hepsia Control Panel, will allow you to administer all the files you upload to your
shared hosting account effortlessly. You are able to move files and entire folders by dragging-and-dropping them in the account. You can easily upload content in the same manner - choose a file/folder on your PC and drag it to your browser in which the File Manager is loaded. By right-clicking a file or a folder within your account, you could also access context menus with more complex options - you'll be able to create or to unpack an archive, to set up a password-protected area, to alter the UNIX permissions using a web interface or to change the content with a variety of editors without ever leaving the CP – an HTML editor, a plain text editor or a code editor. We've also added help articles and video tutorials, which you can access from the File Manager to get more information about its features.

File Manager in Semi-dedicated Hosting
Our advanced, albeit easy-to-work with File Manager will provide you with complete control over your content and you'll not have any difficulties handling the files and folders that you create or upload to your
semi-dedicated server account, even when you have never used a hosting service before. The options it is providing are only a couple of clicks away, even the more sophisticated ones like creating a password-protected folder, setting up or unpacking an archive, adjusting UNIX permissions or opening a file in a plain text or an HTML editor. From right-click context menus, you'll feel just as if you’re working on your home computer. What's more, the File Manager supports dragging-and-dropping of files and whole folders - both inside the account and from your PC. With the latter alternative, you can easily upload content directly, which eliminates the need for any FTP client.
