Dot NAME Domains

Introduced in 2001, the Dot NAME domain extension is the single TLD meant for personal websites only. These domains can include personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other titles people are famous by. At first, only third-level registrations were allowed, so if you wanted to secure john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already bought third-level domain names remained running.

You will be able to modify the WHOIS contacts, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an existing domain to our company if you have its EPP transfer key from the current domain registrar and we will renew it when the transfer has been finalized. There are no specific regulations on who can register a .NAME domain name, but in order to preserve the objective behind its creation alive, the Registry may verify who the owner is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration might be challenged.
